Privacy Policy

1. Data Controller


1.1 The data controller is SYNE FRANCE SAS, whose registered office is located at 16 bis rue Saint-Antoine, 75004 Paris, France (hereinafter “SYNE”). As such, SYNE – and/or its service providers acting on its behalf – determines the purposes, technical and legal means of processing personal data and undertakes to take all necessary organizational measures to ensure secure processing in accordance with the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, as amended by the Act of 6 August 2004 (hereinafter “the Act”) and the European Regulation of 26 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter “the GDPR”).

1.2. SYNE is free to choose any natural or legal person who processes Users' personal data at its request and on its behalf (hereinafter "the data processor"). Where applicable, SYNE undertakes to select a data processor offering sufficient guarantees regarding the technical and organizational security measures for the processing of personal data.

2. Processing of Personal Data


2.1. Use of the Site, access to certain sections thereof, and/or any request for information or services from Site Users may result in the communication of personal data. The processing of this data by SYNE, in its capacity as Data Controller, and/or by service providers acting on behalf of SYNE, will comply with the Law and the GDPR.

2.2. This Privacy Policy is designed to inform Users, before they access the various sections of the Site and provide their personal data, how SYNE processes the personal data of Site Users. Users must read this policy before providing their personal data by completing the forms provided for this purpose in the various sections of the Site.


2.3 Personal data will be processed primarily by automated means, using procedures strictly related to the purposes stated in section 3.
SYNE is committed to ensuring that Users' personal data is processed securely and confidentially and takes appropriate measures to prevent the loss, misuse, alteration, and deletion of this personal data.

2.4 SYNE also collects certain personal data from Users in order to recognize them and offer them an optimal, high-quality, and personalized user experience. This data collection also allows for the correction of any errors on the Site. The information collected relates to the User's connection (IP address, geographic location, date and time of access, services accessed and/or used, etc.) as well as the device from which the connection is made.

3. Purposes of Personal Data Processing

Users' personal data is processed to enable the processing and delivery of orders placed on the Site.

The ordering process on the website www.synefrance.com requires the creation of a customer account in which the customer's information is stored and protected by a password chosen by the customer.

Subject to customer opt-in, personal information (personal data, email address, gender, etc.) may also be used by SYNE and/or its partners for marketing purposes such as sending newsletters or marketing communications.


4. Personal Data That May Be Processed

The information users provide when filling out forms or creating their customer account is collected and processed. This information may include the user's name, gender, height, address, email address, and telephone number.

5. Consent

The User has the right to withdraw their consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing already carried out based on consent given before its withdrawal. 6. Retention Period for Personal Data

In accordance with the legal requirements imposed by the Law and the GDPR, SYNE retains Users' personal data only for the period reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it is processed.

7. Disclosure of Users' Personal Data for Internal Purposes

7.1. Personal data may be transmitted to SYNE employees or collaborators who, operating under SYNE's direct authority, are appointed as data controllers or processors and receive appropriate operational instructions. Personal data may also be disclosed to employees or collaborators of the data controllers if the latter, appointed by SYNE, so decide, and provided that such data is processed in accordance with the purposes for which it was collected.

7.2. SYNE ensures that its subcontractors, employees, or collaborators guarantee the same level of protection as SYNE itself and that these subcontractors, employees, or collaborators process personal data only for the purposes authorized by the intended purposes, with the required discretion and security.

7.3. Personal data directly provided by Users through online forms may be communicated to and processed by external service providers acting on behalf of and for SYNE.

7.4 Data will not be transferred to a country outside the European Union.

8. User Rights

8.1. SYNE guarantees the fair and lawful processing of Users' personal data.

8.2. SYNE guarantees Users the right to access their personal data.

In accordance with Article 15 of the GDPR, Users have the right to obtain from SYNE the following (non-exhaustive) information concerning their personal data:

1. the purposes of the processing;

2. the categories of personal data concerned;

3. the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be disclosed, in particular recipients in third countries or international organizations;

4. where possible, the envisaged period for which the personal data will be stored, or, where this is not possible, the criteria used to determine that period;

5. The existence of automated decision-making, including profiling, as referred to in paragraphs 1 and 4 of Article 22 of the GDPR and, where applicable, at a minimum, meaningful information about the logic involved, as well as

the significance and the envisaged consequences of such processing for the data subject.

8.3. SYNE guarantees the right to restriction of processing.
The User has the right to obtain restriction of processing of their personal data in the cases listed in Article 18 of the GDPR.

8.4. SYNE guarantees the right to data portability.

In accordance with Article 20 of the GDPR, Users have the right to receive from SYNE the personal data concerning them in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. They also have the right to
transmit this data to another controller without hindrance from SYNE in the cases provided for by the GDPR.

8.5. SYNE guarantees the right to object to data processing
The User has the right to object at any time to the processing of their personal data when there are compelling and legitimate grounds relating to their particular situation. In this case, SYNE will no longer process the personal data,

unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the User, or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

8.6. SYNE guarantees the right to lodge a complaint
The User has the right to lodge a complaint concerning the processing of their personal data by SYNE with the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL), the competent body for the French territory.

9. Limitation of Liability of the Data Controller

The Site may contain hyperlinks to websites controlled and operated by third parties unrelated to SYNE. In such cases, SYNE cannot be held liable for the content of these websites, nor for the personal data protection practices of these third parties.

SYNE cannot be held liable for data loss, corruption, or identity theft, which may be caused, in particular but not exclusively, by viruses or cyberattacks. 10. How to Modify User Data

11. Cookies

Cookies are used on the website to improve the User experience.
The cookie identifies the User's computer and allows the website to remember their personal settings. Cookies are also used for statistical purposes.
The User can configure their browser to notify them when a cookie is about to be activated. This allows the User to reject the use of the cookie or to request that the browser delete the cookie at the end of their visit to the website. The online store cannot be used if cookies are refused.

Once logged in, a user ID will be assigned to the User, enabling anonymized internet tracking across multiple devices (tablet, desktop, phone, etc.).

No personal data is collected or linked to the user ID, and the User can object to the use of such cookies by sending an email to the following address: syne.contact@gmail.com

12. Changes to the Privacy Policy

SYNE reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy to comply with legal obligations regarding the protection of privacy or to adapt it to its practices. Therefore, users are encouraged
